White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Mi, where Thatcher is buried
"Vince and I went to Ferris State college together along with several other Seaholm grads. including Tom Thatcher. His Nick name was Distructo in a loving conotation. he always had the biggest laugh and smile. That was a exciting school year a lot of stories. Ferris Had some archaic rules even in those days. We pushed the limits and rebelled a lot. Tom could avoid bringing attention to himself due to his size and effervescent personality. It was hard for him to restrain himself. Tom was on a pre-med course when he was cought with alcohol in his room immediate explusion. He felt discrace for his family and to make things right he joined the Marines. I heard of his death a year latter from Vince. I have missed Tom ever sense." - David Lauderdale
Tom's class of 1965 won Field day in his final year at Seaholm
